Theme 2 Unit Social and Documentary Final Images
After researching into taking shots at a live cricket match and feeling quite confident I was keen to try it out. So I took my Nikon my Tamron 70-300mm lens and my tri pod to my son's next match in Alrewas. As I expected though things never quite work out as you expect, after a few pictures taken on my tripod I began to find it more and more difficult to move with the action of the game so instead decided to use a metal fence to stabilise my camera. This then helped by being able to position myself quicker to react to the game and still being able to capture a reasonable sharp image even with having to use a high ISO. Even after deciding at the eleventh hour to change my subject matter I am reasonably pleased with my pictures.
1.Firstly , but unfortunately for my son a picture of his bails being removed . As I am only picturing Under 11 cricketers it did make it easier to catch moments as the play was slower than an adults game. As you can see this has been manipulated twice once in colour and once in B/W but with the cricket ball kept in red by using the History brush in PS. Out of the two I prefer the B/W image as it gives a feeling of dispair to the image
